we bought silk worms

they were freaking their sister out
puff ate them in no time
i kinda felt sorry for them
i like pets that eat dry food
this live food thing makes me sad

the library now has an automatic
check in machine
patrons put their books through
on the other side
they are checked in
and wander through
and are sorted to one of the nine bins
i babysat it for an hour and a half
on my shift today
you have 15 seconds to pull a bin out
and replace it with an empty one
it actually makes the job much easier
it fascinates me
the technology
it came from germany
it was neat to hear
the guys working as they installed it
talking in german

maybe it is the holidays
i am not sure
but at this moment
as i sprinkled sprinkles on these cookies
there was christmas music playing
christmas lights were on
i had a wave of content
we are broke
our house sucks
and needs so much work
but for a moment it did not matter
i realize how wonderful life is

literally all year
i have wanted to take

finally got one today
is that not the neatest
thing ever?
it really looks like the tree
has grown around the fence
but that fence would be
years and years old
and would most likely not
still be standing
not sure how it happened
I am stumped!

we joke her purr is broke

in high school my best friends
mom died from ALS
a few years before she got sick
she had painted this and gave it to me
that was over 20 years ago
every year it brings a smile to my face
she was a sweet woman

there are not words
to express how darn
cute this is

he brought these home
from work
told me i could have them
they are his favorite
but i was feeling blah
i told him that was okay
he could have them
but then i ended up having
one, then two, then three
you get the picture
he was sweet to think of me

i thought i would curl up
in bed and knit
i ended up falling asleep

they have cat food in them
the cats were eating from them
she calls it her cat tea party
